Combating struggles associated with serving two tours in Iraq and homelessness after military retirement, Dr. Edward Burns started his own cleaning service company with only $34.41 to his name. His work ethic and perseverance led him to success. As a result, this business scaled enough to be sold to a private equity firm, thereby, making him the first multi-millionaire in his family.
Dr. Burns integrated immediately into the Advantage One Brokers family and leverages his over two decades of experience at training high performers. His positivity radiates in every interaction and we are proud that he chose to call our organization home. He exemplifies dedication through his personalized training and is a great value-added to Advantage One Brokers. From the time Lexie first came on board, her value was immediately shown. With 4 years of previous experience, she completely transformed Advantage One Brokers’ Marketing. Lexie exhibited immediately her ability to implement and integrate our social media campaign across multiple platforms. Agent recognition, podcasts and company information all flow and are streamlined through centralized lines of communication. Director of Advanced Markets
John has been in the life insurance industry for 12 years. Before finding the industry, John spent his days bringing carts in at Costco from the parking lot. He simply got tired of minimum wage and knew he was worth more. John’s accolades include: always being a top 5 producer, F&G Power Producer, and traveling the world every year for free from carrier trips! He is dubbed the “insurance man” among all of his clients and is a master of referral sales because of it. John has always averaged over $300,000 of net income working 15/20 hours a week before stepping into his new role here at Advantage One Brokers. He is passionate about helping families change their financial future through his career. John is happily married with 4 beautiful children and resides in Folsom, CA.
Spencer has been providing financial security to people around the Sacramento area for over eight years. He believes in putting others first and maintaining the utmost level of professionalism, whether it is with his clients or agents. He brings the highest degree of experience by listening to people’s needs and working diligently with them to implement a plan that meets their concerns. Spencer’s specialty focuses on Mortgage Protection which includes personal life insurance, disability income replacement, and annuities.
He has achieved several honors and awards during these years and used his platform to help train others to reach the same level of success. People would describe Spencer as transparent, helpful and hard working. He married his high school sweetheart and has two young boys. When he is not working, you’ll find Spencer volunteering through his church or out boating on Folsom Lake with his friends and family.
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Kevin has been working with Advantage One Brokers since August of 2021. Specializing in operations management and leader development, Kevin instantly integrated into the Advantage One Brokers’ culture to help streamline the way we do business. Previously, Kevin served 13 years as an Army Intelligence Officer leading and managing multiple systems, processes, and requirements at the operational and strategic levels within the Department of Defense. At the time of his separation, Kevin was at the height of his career before choosing to serve others in the private sector. Since pursuing his MBA, Kevin has strived to lead at the highest levels in Corporate America. He has led Soldiers into combat across two theaters of operation and has leveraged those talents to hit the ground running in this industry.

Greg is a Veteran that served 11 years as an Armor and Military Intelligence Officer. Greg deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan, leading teams of up to 140 Soldiers in combat. In 2017, after serving the country, Greg began serving families as an Insurance Agent and has been working in the field as a field agent and agency manager for the past 4 years. Greg has issue paid over $1,5000,000 in life insurance, and he even wrote over $200,000 of business in one month, all remote sales. He did this by learning marketing strategies that attracted clients to him and his agents, further developing his skills in marketing and communications. Greg joined ADV 1 and brought his expertise of online marketing to our family of agents. His immediate success made him the obvious choice to become the Director of Communications. Greg is a father of four, Lillie, Mikaylah, Greg Jr. and Grayson. He resides in Dallas Texas with his partner Lexie Ray.
DIRECTOR OF CONTRACTING
As Director of Contracting for Advantage One Brokers, Becky Hare ensures the expedient appointing of hundreds of Producers with numerous carriers each month. Being a Licensed Agent herself, she understands the importance of getting Producers contracted and writing business as quickly and accurately as possible. Prior to joining the Insurance space in 2009, she managed in a variety of industries including dental, retail, and even owned an operations support company for 13 years. In her spare time, Becky enjoys spending time with her family and sailing wherever the tradewinds are blowing!
Director of Final Expense
Sam Chand moved to America with his family in 1979, from Punjab India. Adjusting to a new way of life and learning American societal trends, Sam Chand was fascinated with Marketing and Market Development Research. It didn’t take long before Sam was convinced he wanted to make his mark doing something that had not only a high revenue stream, but also an opportunity to help people in the process. Sam Chand is an industry leader in Final Expense and a senior market specialist. Sam Joined our organization in 2017. He is an American success story. Sam has an immigrant background and recently became a US Citizen in 2019. He has a passion for helping people which helped accelerated rise to success. Sam Chand has won countless awards from carriers, agencies, and IMO’s and has been awarded multiple carrier trips in the process. He has been licensed since 2009 and has written over 5.000 final expense policies. Over the years he has worked multiple lead systems and gained tremendous experience when working with the senior market. We are proud of his addition to our executive team.

Christopher Curry joins our leadership team with a long track record of success in personal production and agency development. Working as a sales agent in the field for 7 years on both the captive and independent side of insurance. Christopher’s firm grasp on what individual agents and our personal clients want from a product and relationship gives our executive team an edge on helping develop proprietary products for our Agents advantage. Continuing with our tradition of leading from the front, Christopher has been one of the top individual Marketers in the country for the past 10 years. He has been the lead recruiter of some of the top Independent Marketing Organizations in the country. We are thankful to be able to add his leadership and experience to our executive team
Director of Agency Development
Wesley has been working with Advantage One Brokers since late 2019 and was hired into his new role in March of 2021. He specializes in developing and implementing agent systems, processes, and organizational design for Advantage One Brokers agents and managers. Prior to Advantage One, he was a top manager for his practice company where he finished out his career with them as the number four agency manager; at the time of his promotion, he was the youngest agency manager in the history of that company. Wesley has been in the insurance industry since 2014, where he started as a part-time agent while working as a full-time Restaurant Manager. He is a football fan of the University of Tennessee: Vols, his alma-mater, who has been breaking his heart for the past 20 or so years. You can catch him in Nashville, TN with his Great Dane, Mango. Yee-haw!
